Course Description
This course provides learners with the skills and knowledge required to safely operate a tracked dozer. Learners will develop the skills to plan tracked dozer work, conduct pre-start checks, apply risk controls, comply with traffic management, shift loads in accordance with safe work procedures, park and secure the tracked dozer. Successful completion of the course provides the necessary competency to safely conduct operations of a tracked dozer.

Mode of Delivery
Delivery of this course will be trainer led and delivered face-to-face in a classroom setting combined with skills practice and assessment at client’s premises.

Assessment
The assessment requires the learner to complete a written knowledge assessment and demonstrate their applied knowledge and skills during a practical assessment operating a tracked dozer.

National recognition
On successfully completing the training and assessment you will be issued a Statement of Attainment issuing you the unit of competency: RIIMPO308F – Conduct tracked dozer operations.

Dress and Equipment
Learners should attend the course in comfortable appropriate work clothing with steel capped boots. The course will be delivered on the site of the student’s workplace. All site PPE requirements must be met.

Entry Requirements
Trainsafe require learners to present photo Identification prior to course commencement, be dressed in their normal work clothing wearing steel capped boots and be alert and physically capable of driving safely.
