Course Description
This qualification provides learners with the skills and knowledge required to manage the complex and non-routine tasks associated in surface extraction operations. This qualification reflects the role of individuals that work in some of the following roles, within the coal mining and quarry industries:

• Site Senior Executives
• Quarry Supervisors
• Team Leaders

Mode of Delivery 
Delivery of this qualification is dependent on the units to be assessed. Delivery of units will be completed independently, over zoom, face to face in a classroom setting and on site. We will visit you on site to ensure that your learning is reflective of your workplace and ensures you know your business fluently.

Assessment
The assessment requires the learner to complete written knowledge assessments and demonstrate their applied knowledge and skills during a practical assessments.

National recognition
On successfully completing the training and assessment you will be issued a Certificate of Qualification in RII40120 – Certificate IV in Surface Extraction Operations.
